Planning application
P/25/0857/2
122 The Ridings, Rothley, Leicestershire, LE7 7SL
Proposal
T1 - Norway Maple Works - Raise canopy to 4.5m from ground level. Reason - Allow more light under canopy into garden. G1 - Group of 7x mixed conifers: 2x Lebanese Cedars, 2x Austrian Pine, 3x Lawsons Cypress. Works - Remove Reason - the trees were planted too close together and have grown with limited taper. Removal of individuals would render the remaining more likely to fail. The form of the trees due to growing too close together is not suitable to redevelop into individual specimens. G2 - Group of 3x Cherry Plums along boundary not including neighbours tree. Works - Remove Reason - Garden redevelopment.

The process from here

About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.
