Replace timber frame structure in gable end wall, specifically the sole plate, all uprights and both storey posts up 1 metre, using air dried oak timbers. Replace riven oak laths and apply three coat haired lime render. information/letter regarding the extent of the works, methods used and a schedule of works to be carried out by Limelight Restoration: "Regarding details for the lime works. Once we have arranged permission, scaffold etc, and we are out of winter, I intend to take off all the old render from the front gable end back to the laths, using a breathable haired / fibred chalk lime putty base / scratch coat and dub coat. Formula: 1 part lime putty, 1 part sharp washed sand 4mm, 1 part medium sand 2mm, 0.5 parts crushed chalk 1mm with Polypropylene Fibres, And a traditional 3 to 1 soft sand and non hydraulic lime for a worked and closed in render coat finished with hand trowel and sponge. Similar will apply to the other large section at the back of the house, using a clay based lime wash"
