THE CURRENT POTS ARE RED AND THE ORIGINAL ARE RECKONED TO HAVE BEEN BUFF TO MATCH THOSE ON NO16 AND OTHERS IN PENLLWYN PARK. CAREFULLY DISMANTLE THE TOP 10 COURSES OF BRICKWORK (APPROXIMATELY 900MM), INTRODUCE A DAMP PROOF LEAD TRAY THROUGH THE WHOLE COURSE OF THE CHIMNEY. REBUILD THE CHIMNEY (USING THE ORIGINAL SALVAGED BRICK) THE CHIMNEY BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL DIMENSIONS AS RECORDED. DRAWINGS OF ETH CHIMNEY HAVE BEEN MADE TO SCALE AND TO SHOW EACH AND EVERY BRICK AND COURSE DETAIL TO ENABLE THE ACCURATE REBUILDING OF THE TOP OF THE CHIMNEY. UNDERTAKE LOCALISED RE-POINTING IN AREAS WHERE DEFECTIVE POINTING HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED. APPLY A BREATHABLE WATER REPELLENT COATING TO THE BRICKWORK TO ASSIST IN REPELLING THE DRIVING RAIN. PAGE 6 OF 19 PROVIDE NEW BUFF CLAY POTS TO MATCH THOSE ON ADJACENT BUILDINGS, WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF 2 NEW POTS OVER THE EASTERNMOST FLUES TO AID THE PROPER VENTILATION OF THE FLUES. BUFF COLOURED COWLS WILL BE SUPPLIED FOR EACH POT, SUITABLE FOR PURPOSE. THE INTERNAL FINISHES WILL BE RE-INSTATED AS WAS.
