Proposal

THIS APPLICATION RELATES ONLY TO THE EXISTING PIPELINE SUPPORTED ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE PARAPET WALL OF THE LISTED STRUCTURE. THE PIPELINE IS TO BE DIVERTED ON THE APPROACH TO THE WESTERN END OF THE BRIDGE, CHANGING THE LEVEL AND ALIGNMENT. THE EXISTING PIPELINE RISES VERTICALLY FROM THE GROUND AT THE WESTERN ABUTMENT, TURNING 90 DEGREES TO RUN HORIZONTALLY ACROSS THE BRIDGE. THE DIVERTED PIPELINE WILL EMERGE FROM THE ROAD EMBANKMENT AT A HIGHER LEVEL AND WILL BE CONNECTED TO THE HORIZONTAL SECTION OF THE EXISTING SUPPORTED PIPE. THIS CONNECTION WILL REQUIRE APPROXIMATELY 4M OF NEW PIPE TO BE SUPPORTED ON THE BRIDGE AS PER THE EXISTING, AND WILL ENABLE REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING VERTICAL LEG. ALL MATERIALS FOR PIPE, CLADDING AND SUPPORTS WILL BE SELECTED TO MATCH THOSE OF THE EXISTING PIPE
