Planning application

Land to the rear of Y Garreg Lwyd, Llanedi, Swansea, SA4 0ZL

Granted Carmarthenshire PL/02202 Prior notification: Building

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within five years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

Erection of a temporary barn (until a permanent structure is taken forwardthrough formal planning) for approximately 2 years to house a mini-excavator, tractor and accessories, store hay and have SW facing solar panels (12). The barn will also be used for a temporary pen / shelter for lambing for approximately 2-3 weeks per year. A small excavation of the site will be needed (<1m) due to the slope of the ground but no foundations will be laid apart from paving slabs as footings. The proposed structure will be an A frame type (with small vertical walls) covered in a durable tarpaulin. The structure will have an electricity supply for the solar power, lighting and possible small heater for lambing but will not be used for accommodation at any time. Construction will be designed for ease of dismantling and recycling. (Note solar panels subject to approval by Western Power and require upgrade of local substation and so may not be included in construction)
