40 Well Walk London NW3 1BX
Proposal
Refurbishment of the existing timber sash windows, casement window and French doors to a Grade II* listed building through renewal of the deteriorated integrated draught proofing systems. The works comprise removal of the existing perished brush pile and the supply and installation of correctly specified replacement staff beads and parting beads, detailed as replica profiles to match the existing and routed to house a concealed draught proofing system, improving thermal performance and reducing air infiltration. All historic sash boxes, sashes and joinery are retained and repaired; replacement is limited to the staff beads and parting beads, and there is no alteration to the openings, fenestration pattern or external appearance of the building.

The process from here
This application is with Camden for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.

About heritage and listed buildings applications
How this application type works
Heritage applications concern listed buildings and conservation areas. Listed building consent is needed for works, inside or out, that affect the special interest of a listed building, and carrying out such works without consent is a criminal offence. The council weighs harm to the heritage asset against any public benefit of the proposal.
