Report from Richardson's Tree Surgery: We have been monitoring the slow decline of this Sycamore for several years, routinely taking out the dead wood when necessary. This growing season, we have observed a quickening of the crown decline with a larger quantity of branches dying off and the rest of the crown being sparser with smaller leaves. We now feel that the time has come to remove the tree. Its position is within a small front garden area and we therefore hope to replace it with a tree of a more suitable scale such as Amelanchier lamarckii or Sorbus aucuparia.
