Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
Red Chestnut (T1) - fell due to the very large canker wound on the lower trunk. The canker has resulted in a wound which covers approximatley 40% of the circumference of the trunk and extends into the trunk wood by up to 300mm. The exposed sapwood is starting to decay. The crown of the tree overhangs a heavily used footpath and the adjacent lawn is regularly used for functions.
