Refused Cambridge 20/1862/TTPO Works to TPO trees

Works: Trees

Refused. Only the applicant can appeal, within the statutory time limit, and a revised scheme can be submitted instead.

Proposal

Scholar's Tree, reduce crown by 2-3m and remove deadwood. Whilst most of the tree trunk is in the garden of number 39 Rathmore rd, most of the branches overhang number 37. This is because there is a large silver birch competing at the side of number 39. The tree has not been pruned for several years and here is a lot of deadwood - in windy weather, dead and live branches fall on our garden. I have serious health and safety concerns which is my main reason for requesting this clearance. In Spring and early summer most of our garden is almost fully covered in bird faeces even if cleaned daily. This includes patio area and furniture, children's toys.
