About amendment applications
An amendment application makes limited changes to a permission that already exists; anything beyond modest adjustment needs a fresh application. More in our guide to planning application types.

Regular pollarding of trees that have become overgrown. The majority of trees to be pollarded are lime trees. The other trees are cherry (x3), maple/acer (1), fig (1) and alder (x2). In places, branches are over hanging the road and scraping tall vehicles, or overhanging neighbouring property creating too much shade. Regular pollarding required every 4 to 6 years for health of the trees. The lime trees will be pollarded back to trunk and main branches. This will remove the small thinner branches/epicormic growth. Of broad cover, this may remove 2 meters in places, but trees will not be lowered in height. For other trees, general cutting back, to bring back into shape and remove unnecessary overhang over buildings/neighbours. In places this may remove approx 1m of broad cover. Again, trees will not be lowered in height.
