Fell a Bay Tree approx 9ft from the house. It appears to be very old and shoots appearing in the surrounding area. The off shoots are lifting the pathway within 3 feet of the tree base, which we cannot re-pave until this issue is dealt with. Alarmingly, further shoots have appeared at the far side of the front of the house. The house is semi-detached and the shared sewage pipe with next door runs along the front of the house where the shoots area appearing. We are concerned about damage to the shared sewage pipe. We have taken advice from Meristem Aboriculture & Forestry, who have suggested the tree is felled and the stump ground out and treated asap.

Removal of tree. It has become inappropriate for the size and location of our garden. It also has an aphid infestation which results in significant quantities of honeydew. This sticky substance falls onto our garden and outdoor surfaces, creating an ongoing nuisance. We are committed to replacing the tree following its removal. We will plant a more appropriate species and size of tree in a suitable location within the garden
