Certificate of Lawfulness for proposed change of windows, door, soffits and guttering of a house in a conservation area. The colour and material of the windows is being kept the same. The front of the house (visible from the road) will be identical to the current window layout (sightlines preserved). At the back of the house (not visible from the road) there will be some minor changes made e.g. bifold doors changing to sliding doors. The front door will remain a similar colour (the current front door is very weathered and faded) but will change from wood to composite (however will look like wood). The front door currently poses some security risk, it does not feel easy to breach and at present, due to it's age it does not always close easily. The soffits and fascias which are currently in a poor state of repair will be replaced. At present they appear to be a poor quality MDF. The colour and look will be kept the same but they will replaced with high quality UPVC. The gutters will be replaced on a like for like basis. I have attached a scheme of the current windows which shows the windows that we intend to source and use
