Planning application

Mayday Field Mayors Road Claverham North Somerset

Granted Bristol, City of 26/P/0339/SCON NSC being consulted

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

Consultation in respect of a Legal Agreement (Unilateral Undertaking) by Newland Homes Limited to bind land for the purposes of delivering planning obligations and conditions by securing an offsite contribution to lesser horseshoe bat commuting and foraging habitat within a dark corridor. The Proposal would involve taking an offsite/offsetting approach of removing any contribution that the land, which is the subject of land ownership disputes (the Western Land), made to planning obligations and planning conditions (i.e., biodiversity objectives related to the North Somerset and Mendip Bats Special Area of Conservation) and offsetting the lesser horseshoe bat commuting and foraging habitat within a dark corridor on the Western Land, by securing additional land within the May Day Field (Offsite Habitat Area) as alternative provision of bat habitat.
