Planning application
69 Dyke Road Avenue Hove BN3 6DA
Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
T1 Macrocarpa Cypress is located at the front of the property. The tree exhibits a dense upper canopy, increasing susceptibility to wind loading and presenting a potential safety hazard, particularly given the presence of a public footpath beneath and an adjacent busy main road. Deadwood is also present within the crown. It is proposed that T1 be reduced by 1-2 metres where appropriate, or back to suitable growth points, and that all deadwood be removed.

T1 Sycamore- remove 3 epicormic stems at the base of the tree (approx diameter 10 cms each) Reduce central top height of the tree by 2 meters and reshape the crown all around. Reasons- the tree has not been worked on for some time and it is cutting out light at the back of the property and for other properties in the vicinity. It is a very tall tree for the confined space that it is in.
