Planning application
Furze Hill Court Furze Hill Hove BN3 1PG
Works: Trees
Refused. Only the applicant can appeal, within the statutory time limit, and a revised scheme can be submitted instead.
Proposal
1no Sycamore - reduce entire tree by 2-3m. 1no Birch reduce by 1-2m Refuse Works - Reasons 1. Heavy pruning to a tree with a Tree Preservation Order in order to maintain a view is not a sound arboricultural reason for the works. 2. Loss of amenity to the immediate area and screening between properties due to the smaller dimensions proposed for the trees. 3. Multiple unnecessary wounds will be caused to both trees by the proposed works. Both trees grow within an open area and have room to grow to their full potential.

T1 Sycamore- remove 3 epicormic stems at the base of the tree (approx diameter 10 cms each) Reduce central top height of the tree by 2 meters and reshape the crown all around.
