This application is at appeal, which passes the decision from the council to the national planning inspectorate, or in Scotland usually to a local review body first. The appeal considers the scheme afresh against the same policies.

Anyone who commented on the original application is normally notified and can comment again within the appeal deadline. Appeal decisions take months rather than weeks, and the outcome replaces the council's decision.
