Proposal
Brandon Staunch is an Environment Agency water control structure, it is located on the River Little Ouse, it is made up of a weir, a sluice gate and lock. The work will be constructing a fish and eel pass within the existing weir. The work will involve recasting part of the weir to a 15% slope, constructing two small vertical walls to contain the water within the new channel, the installation of Larinier tiles to the newly created channel and construction of an eel pass running parallel with the fish pass. All the work will be within the existing footprint of the current weir. The application is to construct the pass under the Environment Agency Permitted development rights.
