Proposal
Application to allow crown lift of all trees within the application area shown on attached plans to 2.5m height to allow plant access and to cut back any intruding vegetation to the back of the rear towpath verge to facilitate towpath improvement scheme. The scheme will by necessity require works within root area of trees (Ecologist and qualified Arborist have been consulted to avoid impact via design). Removal of dead tree and small sapling (grid reference: SE 12553 38313) , To be compensated for by replanting at SE 12505 38301. A separate map and photo document have been provided for clarity.

About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

T1 Sycamore Tree - Crown lift give 3metres ground clearance and prune back to give 2 metres clearance from the property The lower branches are restricting access beneath the canopy and are in direct contact with the glass roof of the outhouse. The proposed pruning will provide suitable clearance, reducing the risk of damage to the structure while maintaining the tree's natural form and long-term health.
