15 BONSEY LANE, BINFIELD, BRACKNELL, RG42 4GL
T1 is currently in an advanced state of physiological and structural decline. Visual inspection from ground level reveals severe canopy thinning and widespread tip dieback throughout, which is strongly indicative of Ash Dieback (Hymenoscyphus fraxineus). The canopy contains a significant volume of major deadwood. While we recognise that deadwood removal is exempt under TPO regulations, its presence highlights the tree's overall trajectory and poor health. Furthermore, multiple cavities displaying extensive decay are visible from ground level, alongside several structural snap-out points where major limbs have previously failed. Given the structural defects, internal decay, and loss of structural timber, the tree exhibits unnatural movement during high-wind events, raising serious concerns regarding full or partial failure. While the main stem sits on the boundary, both properties (No. 15 and No. 16) and their outbuildings - specifically the garage at No. 16 - fall squarely within the tree's fall-zone target area. RSL therefore proposes the following management intervention: 1. Crown Reduction: Reduce the entire canopy by 3m-4m, cutting back to suitable, viable secondary lateral growth points to reduce wind sail and mechanical leverage on compromised limbs. 2. Crown Clean & Maintenance: Remove all major deadwood, damaged/snapped growth, crossing and rubbing branches, and heavily decayed limbs to eliminate immediate drop hazards. Objective: The primary goal of this specification is to alleviate weight and mechanical stress on compromised structural points, stabilising the tree and mitigating public safety risks as far as reasonably practicable, short of total removal, while it continues its natural decline. T1 - 1 x Maple Tree at front - Reduce the entire crown by approximately 2–3 metres, pruning back to the previous reduction points where appropriate, whilst retaining a natural crown form. Remove any dead, damaged or crossing branches and reshape the crown to provide a balanced, sympathetic finish Reason The Maple has previously been crown reduced and has since produced significant regrowth beyond the historic pruning points. Returning the tree to its previous reduction points will maintain the established management regime, reduce end-weight on elongated secondary growth, improve crown structure and maintain appropriate clearance from parked vehicles and the adjacent driveway. The proposed works are maintenance in nature and will preserve the tree’s long-term health and amenity value whilst retaining its natural appearance.

3 JEROME CORNER, CROWTHORNE, RG45 7JF
Tree Specification: Beech (TPO 260 T8) Proposed Scope of Works The specimen currently displays good physiological vigour and presents no obvious visual defects. It stands at an approximate height of 15 metres with a radial crown spread of 10 metres. June 2nd 2026, the lowest limb failed approximately 2 metres from the branch union. This failure is attributed to a combination of high ambient temperatures followed by significant rainfall. A second limb failed from the same primary limb on 22nd July 2026 To mitigate the risk of further limb failures, I recommend a crown reduction of up to 2 metres from each branch tip, pruning back to appropriate growth points. This management practice will decrease the leverage and weight applied to each limb, ensuring the tree remains at a scale suitable for its current location and preventing it from becoming over-mature for the site. All resulting waste will be removed and all areas will be left clean and tidy. All works carried out will be in accordance with BS3998

T17 Oak - cut back lateral branches by 2m to leave a finished spread of 8m. T19 Oak -cut back lateral branches by 2m to leave a finished spread of 8m. The proposed pruning above is required to provide sufficient clearance for the safe construction of the new building. Selected lateral branches extending towards the proposed building footprint and access route require reduction to allow for safe construction activities. The works have been limited to those branches necessary to achieve the required clearance. No greater pruning is proposed than is reasonably necessary, and every effort will be made to retain the tree's health, structural integrity, and visual amenity. All pruning will be carried out in accordance with current arboricultural best practice.

RENDCOMBE, TERRACE ROAD SOUTH, BINFIELD, BRACKNELL, RG42 4DN
Large Beech situated in the North West corner of the property. Believe the property line was moved many years ago so this is possibly included within the Area TPO. Guidance and the law 2014 states Area TPO's are for emergency short term use only however this has been in place since 1995 so falls well out of the criteria so it is impossible to tell if the tree is protected or not. The tree has recently shed a large limb due to summer branch drop and has apparently shed branches into the neighbouring property last year due to similar circumstances. The lower crown appears to show vigorous dense foliage however the upper portion is sparse and well in decline. Remains of a fungal fruiting body although decayed (likely Meripilus Giganteus) pic attached found at the base which would explain the trees inability to supply the upper crown with sufficient water and the shedding of limbs common to this species. Fell tree to ground level as significant risk to life and property on both sides of the property line. Urgent 5 day notice

1 ALCOT CLOSE, CROWTHORNE, RG45 7NE
Following the attached Tree Survey Report, our consultant (Sarah Duckworth) submitted a planning application 25/00224/TRTPO to have this tree felled due to the past presence of Kreutzschmaria deusta. Although the tree currently presents in good physiological condition, with notable adaptive “wound wood” around historic basal wounds, the presence of K. deusta significantly increases the long term risk profile due to its characteristic pattern of concealed decay and sudden failure without clear external symptoms. Given the tree’s height (17m), proximity to surrounding property, and the species’ known susceptibility to structural compromise when colonised by K. deusta, we are requesting a crown reduction to lower sail area, reduce end weight, and mitigate mechanical stress on the stem and root plate. This proposal aims to retain the tree within the landscape while responsibly managing the elevated risk associated with the fungal infection. Requested Works A sympathetic crown reduction of 3 metres overall, targeting: • Reduction of upper crown height by 3m • Lateral spread reduced by approx. 2m • All cuts made to suitable secondary growth points to maintain natural form • No more than 20–25% of the crown volume removed • Deadwood removal throughout the canopy This level of reduction will meaningfully decrease wind loading and leverage on the lower stem - particularly important given the past fungus identified - while preserving the tree’s aesthetic value and ecological contribution. Supporting Rationale • Kreutzschmaria deusta is associated with brittle fracture at the base, often without prior crown symptoms. • Reduction will lower structural stress, significantly reducing the likelihood of unpredictable failure. • The tree shows good vitality, so a light to moderate reduction is appropriate to retain long term canopy health. • The proposed works represent a balanced, minimal impact intervention that prioritises public safety while maintaining the tree’s presence. The requested reduction is a proportionate and responsible management action in light of the past fungal infection and structural risk profile. It will help ensure the continued safe retention of this TPO tree while preserving its amenity value.
