1 SEYMOUR DRIVE, ASCOT, SL5 8FX
T1 - Norway Maple - Reduce canopy height and lateral spread 3-4m back towards previous reduction points. Cuts will be made back to suitable growth points from which point the tree can be maintained in a reduced pollarded form. Reason: T1 (Norway Maple) is a suppressed tree of poor form and with a stem defect. The overhanging canopy of T1 has a significant impact on the garden of 1 Seymour Drive and breaking branches cause a nuisance to residents. Works are recommended to reduce the canopy to alleviate the nuisance to residents from which point the tree can be managed in a reduced pollarded form. As the tree has no wider visual amenity value from a public viewpoint, the quality and canopy cover of trees within the Brackens Estate and wider Woodland Tree Preservation Order will not be undermined.

15 ABINGDON ROAD, SANDHURST, GU47 9RN
Common Beech Tree in rear Garden of 15 Abingdon Rd- Work recommended - Selectively tip-reduce the lateral branches overhanging 1 Cookham Close to ensure maximum clearance (both vertical and horizontal) of 2.5m. REASON: to maintain adequate clearance between the tree and the surrounding infrastructure so that damage to roof tiles, guttering, flat roof etc.. is avoided. 5.2 Crown lift all around to ensure a maximum height clearance of 4m above ground level, by removing small and secondary branches only, resulting in final pruning cuts of no greater than 35mm diameter. REASON: to reduce the overall dominating effect of the tree; maintain adequate clearance from surrounding outbuildings, fences, gazebos etc; enable free unobstructed movement and enjoyment of the surrounding gardens; and to create a sense of more space and allow some additional sunlight to reach the gardens below so that some grass and other plants have half a chance of survival. 5.3 Crown thin by no more than 10%, with final pruning cuts of no greater than 50mm diameter. REASON: to allow some dappled light to filter through the canopy to the rear of the houses and gardens below, again allowing reasonable enjoyment of the dwellings, and enabling grass and other garden plants half a chance of surviving under the tree’s canopy.
