Works: Trees
Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.
Proposal
To reduce the crown of the mature oak tree(T1) by 2.5-3m overall cutting back to suitable pruning points to maintain a balanced and manageable crown. To reduce the Hornbeam(T2) By 1.5-2M overall cutting back to suitable growth points maintaining a balanced crown, while retaining the trees natural shape and structure. To light prune the Acer (T3) by 0.5m to allow for more light into the crown removing dead, damaged or crossing branches to improve the structure and reduce rubbing wounds.

The process from here
This application is with Basildon for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.
The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.
About this record
Reading the register
This page mirrors an entry on the statutory planning register that Basildon is required to keep. The published feed for this record does not state which type of application it is, which is common for older entries and for some council systems; the register entry on the council portal will say, alongside the case officer and any consultation dates.
Every planning application follows the same broad path: submission, validation, publicity, then a decision by officers or committee. Our guide to planning application types explains the common types and what each can approve.
