Planning application

St Mary the Virgin Church, Maytham Road, Rolvenden

Granted Ashford OTH/2023/0553 Notification of proposed works to trees in a conservation area

Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

T1 mature Yew, cut back the broken stem to prevent rot-back and reduce in length the low bough over the footpath by 3m in order to reduce the purchase weight of the limb as it has a cavity further back on its stem. Reduce the length of the low branches against the church wall by 2m as boughs can slap onto the side of the building for health and safety. All work is minor and non-invasive.
