Proposal

Description: All felling and extraction sites will be surveyed prior to work starting. Felling coppice: The stems on the stools to be coppiced are to be cut off where they grow out from the stool, or as near to this as is practical to do so. Following completion of the felling operations, sufficient stem and branch wood resulting from the cutting is to be disposed of to allow full restocking. A selection of dead wood will be retainhed on site(both standing and lying) Where restocking is to be carried out by coppice regrowth, either wholly or in part, no stumps may be damaged, removed from the ground, or otherwise damaged or destroyed, unless it is in the interests of good forestry practice to do so. Furthermore, any stump removal must be primarily for the purpose of facilitating the restocking of the land as specified elsewhere in this licence.
