T1 (sycamore) remove, due to weak union at the base of the stem. Failure would result in the tree blocking the highway and footpath. Or potentially fall on a parked vehicle. T2 ( beech) reduce lateral limbs by 2-3 metres to suitable growth points to minimise failure over the highway and BT wires. The top of the canopy will remain untouched. T3 ( Ash ) remove large limb overhanging highway. Due to ash die back the applicant feels the tree should stand a fighting chance to survive, with close monitoring. T4 (sycamore) reduce lateral limb by 2-3 meters over foot path and highway to minimise failure.

1 Starthe View Hands Road Heanor Derbyshire DE75 7HB
T1 - Ash - Fell - The tree has been previously topped and has lots of damaged and dead bark with signs of Daldinia Concentrica on the main stem indicating that the wood is dead or decaying. T2 - Ash - Fell - The tree has been heavily topped in the past and is in poor condition. In order to keep the tree it will need regular re pollarding due to its location. There is a large section of damaged bark which on the time of inspection had fruiting bodies of Inonotus Hispidus growing from this weakens the sound wood making it quite brittle. T3 - Sycamore - The tree has been badly topped in the past causing it to produce lots of straggly branches the tree has not got a good form and has a large Ash tree behind it which is causing it to grow towards the house. Again if left this tree will require regular maintenance at the expense of the homeowner. The Home owner is happy to replant with ornamental trees that will be allowed to grow and be managed. They are open to suggestions from myself or the council as to which species would be suitable .
