T1 Horse Chestnut Twin stemmed from 4 metres Stem overhanging the drive has had a large limb fail due to a poor branch attachment with some decaying material present. The wound has revealed further decay of the stem from where it came. The growth above this wound is significant and very likely to fail at some point but is likely to be extremely vulnerable during weather events as we move into the Autumn / Winter period. We recommend reducing this stem to sound the wood below the damaged and decayed area, and reduce the remainder of tree to the same height by approximately 8 metres.

T1 Apple Observations: General maintenance - this tree is beginning to encroach on the house and is dominating its surroundings. Recommendations: Reduce 0.5m below previous cuts - approx 2.5m in total. T2 Conifer Observations: Tree is dying back and has outgrown its surroundings. If left, this tree will continue to die and will ultimately become a hazard. Recommendations: Fell to ground level.

G1 Yew, Cherry Observations: This group are overgrown and are overhanging the boundary - general maintenance required. Recommendations: Cut back overhanging growth to boundary wall, by up to 1m. Consent gained from landowner.

T1 Corsican Pine Large Corsican Pine leaning heavily towards highway within a residential garden. Fell to ground level and remove all arisings. Decay at the base proved to 300mm Decay column on opposite side of the stem from ground level up to 2m. Request 5 day notice of intent to fell due to very poor condition and significant risk to and property owner. Tree was visited by Charlie Macbeth, Technical Director who is Level 4 certificated in Arboriculture and also has Professional Tree Inspection accreditation.

T1 Weeping willow Observations: T1 has become large, overgrown and is dominating its surroundings. Recommendations: Re-pollard back to previous pollard points. A reduction of up to 4m. T2 Monterey pine Observations: T2 has poor form, is dominating the space and is encroaching on the nearby building. Recommendations: Fell to ground level.

T004 Robinia - Further remedial works, following branch failure. The branch appears to have fallen as a result of lack of support from the removed, failed section of the crown. This is suggested by rubbing wound on the fallen branch when paired with the location on the tree from which the branch fell from. Recommendation: Reduction of up to 3m of the remainder of the tree to reduce the sail effect and rebalance the tree. T116 Cherry - Tree has significantly deteriorated since the survey in December 2024 and is almost now dead – it is visibly in poor form and there is significant defoliation. Recommendation: Given the proximity of the footpath and safety concerns, it is recommended to fell to ground level.

T106 Cedar of Lebanon Observations: Overall good health, although is situated in a tarmac carpark, adjacent to blocked paving and within close proximity to a care home. As a result of the large size of the tree, the roots have created an uneven surface on both the footpath and car park. Residents are reported to have tripped over, thus creating a health and safety concern. The hard surfaces and weight of the parked cars is likely to have caused soil compaction, and some root damage is already visible. Recommendations: Removal of the tree and primary root system would allow for surfaces to be levelled to mitigate the risk of injury - with a possibility of replanting. The full dismantle and removal of the tree. We have been asked by the client to emphasise the H&S issues as lots of the elderly residents have fallen over on the roots.

T1 Bay Observations: T1 has become overgrown and requires general maintenance. The residents planted this specimen when they moved to the property 15 years ago. Recommendations: Reduce height by approximately 2.5-3m, and trim all around to tidy by up to 30cm.
