T001 (Sycamore): Selectively reduce and remove lower western branches to ensure at least 2.5 meters vertical clearance over the pavement, complying with statutory highways requirements. Pruning wounds should not exceed 30 mm in diameter. (Priority: 6 Months) 2. T003 (Scots pine): Remove lowermost eastern branches to maintain pedestrian access and prevent future conflicts with planting. (Priority: 1 Year) 3. T007 (Black pine): Selectively crown raise the eastern side to provide a minimum of 2.5 meters vertical clearance over the pedestrian route. (Priority: 1 Year) Structural Support: 1. T002 (Common lime): Install dynamic bracing to support the primary union, allowing for natural movement and compensatory growth. (Priority: 1 Year) Removal of Dead or High-Risk Trees: 1. T004 (English elm, dead): Remove due to standing dead condition and proximity to pedestrian routes. Difficult to see where this tree sits on the boundary, but does look to be BTC? (Priority: 2 Years) 2. T005 (English elm, dead): Remove for similar reasons as T004. (Priority: 2 Years) 3. T006 (Black pine, suppressed): Remove to favor the development of neighboring trees. (Priority: 1 Year)

Requesting cyclical permission to re-pollard T1 Lime and G1 group of 12 Holme Oaks. Prior to having TPO's placed on them recently, these trees have been historically managed by pollarding, which kept them healthy and safe while encouraging new growth from the existing pollard points. Requesting cyclical permission to re-reduce G2 Field Maples - again these have been historically managed in this way to maintain the condition of the trees. Requesting cyclical permission to re-reduce T2 Sycamore - this has also been historically managed in this way to maintain its condition. Fell T3 and T4 due to dieback in the crown. These Pines are in close proximity to high value/risk targets in terms of property and public footpaths.

The proposed cyclical reduction of the sycamore back to previous pruning points, approximately 1.5m. Plan is to maintain the health, structure, and long term vitality of the tree. The tree was previously reduced about five years ago, and cyclical reductions help manage its size, shape, and structural integrity.

Plan is to pollard T1 (Sycamore) and T2 (Oak) to the height of the larger conifer hedge as shown in marked photo. The primary reason for this work is risk mitigation. A large Ash tree that previously stood directly between T1 and T2 failed a few years ago, falling into the school playground located immediately behind the property. Honey fungus was identified on the failed Ash, indicating the potential for decay and structural weakness in trees of this proximity and species. Pollarding T1 and T2 to the height of the neighboring conifer hedge will limit the risk of structural failure while maintaining the trees in a safe and manageable form. The proposed pollarding is proportionate and minimal, ensuring the trees continue to contribute to the character and visual amenity of the area, while mitigating the risk posed by potential fungal infection or structural defects.
