FRONT (Lee Rd): ONE Copper Beech (T1)(GC006743)(ht.16-20m) FELL and replant to replace amenity to local landscape. Reason: crown dieback, sparse foliage, stem necrosis,. FRONT (Lee Pk): ONE Sycamore, 2 dead stems (T2)(GC006720)(ht.11m) FELL. Reason: dead, duty to replace applies. Prev DC/19/113941 to fell 3 of 5 stems of same tree with duty to replace. Informative A: the sensitive tree management, balancing landscape amenity with health & safety is hugely welcomed. Informative B: the proposed replacement planting for T1 if/when felled depending on vitality and T2 under duty to replace is greatly appreciated (ref DC/19/113941), suggest: T1 - hornbeam, T2 - select from field maple, wild cherry, small leaved lime, whitebeam, wild service tree. Informative C: please consider additional tree planting within and around the visually prominent church site with a variety of tree species for landscape enhancement, biodiversity and to maintain the urban forest canopy, including replacement for central mulberry felled approx.2018/2019. Informative D: if possible please retain timber lying on site and use branches to create habitat wood piles, and/ or a linear 'dead hedge' for wildlife and biodiversity.
