Request removal of information

Planning applications are public records published by councils, and PlanIndex indexes what the register makes public. We already withhold personal applicant names from every page. If you have found personal information here, or a page about an application connected to you is causing harm, tell us below.

Depending on the request we can withhold specific details, remove a page from search engines, or take it down entirely. The source record stays on the council's own portal, which we cannot change. We review every request and reply by email.

If you are a firm. We also build a profile for agent and applicant companies named on the register: what they have filed, in which councils, and how those applications were decided. If a profile has been matched to the wrong company, or you would rather we did not keep one for your firm, say so below with the address of the page. We will correct the match or remove the profile. The applications themselves stay, because they are the council's public record and not ours to withdraw.
