  Fell T1 Beech and remove to ground level. This application is made in response to its declining condition following suspected deliberate damage and the potential consequences of failure given its proximity to neighbouring property and the road. Observed condition T1 is one of four beech trees on the site that appear to have been deliberately damaged. Multiple large holes have been drilled into the main stem of T1 at approximately 1 1.5 metres above ground level. The other three beech trees have died. T1 remains alive but is showing dieback within the crown and cracking in the bark. The drilled holes and the condition of the neighbouring trees raise a strong concern that a harmful substance may have been introduced into the stems. To replace the four affected trees, we propose to plant four suitable new trees in locations and of species to be agreed with the authority.
